One of these polls could be useful if the choices are complete.
For instance, if there is only a yes or no, that excludes a seller like Harbor Freight that sells mostly junk but sometimes has a useful tool for light use that's cheap.
Then there's the wording of each choice. No one here is likely to vote for the Finger Lickin' Good one because most of us would question if Shorts ever do come clean.
Finally there's the confusion factor in Voting. Sonny made 2 choices that seem to be the same. Absolutely None and the Dog Doo and Catfish choices. However some of us do know that the ever popular Dog Faced Catfish does bite on dog doo.
Tryin' to fool us Sonny??? We watch NatGeo, ya' know??

I find polls in general have their uses. You do need to keep the topid pretty specific, otherwise there are too many possible answers.
I think they are a good way to see a general trend or thought among the particular group.

I think polls can be fun - funny - or a waste of time and energy - its all in how it is put together
Obviously my poll on power tools is a waste of bandwidth - but it has been fun

Modicum? MODICUM???
You keep using fancy words like that and even spelling them right and you are going to ruin your reputation as a redneck biker with a fifth grade education.
Somebody could even accuse you of being one of those papered a-holes I've seen you lambast in the past. ;)

I'm at work. We're conducting a series of pressure tests that take two or more hours each to complete. I come down here to my office and play on the computer to pass the time between tests.
I transition over to "days" today, though. I've got a week left of 06:00 to 18:00 hr. shifts...or "towers" as they are called in the oil patch.

Why don't you just poll my finger and see what happens.

Hah!
This morning our trainie was assigned to work with me and my group. He said "Doesn't matter, I'll go anyway the wind blows."
Then I ripped a good one and he run out of the office. (But, so did the acting foreman.)
I hollered out to them, "I'm Baacckk...." (I've been out for a week and a half)
#1 - Didn't have to poll my finger.
#2 - He lied. He didn't go where the wind blows, he ran away!
So poll yer own finger, Tom. }> :7

You missed Pope John Paul II as a selection. Now, HE was a good poll. :9
