Beechwood finish

I purchased a beechwood wine rack, and when the 2nd attempt was shipped with a slight flaw on the top, I thought I would repair it myself. I sanded the finish down to remove a coarse sanding area in the middle of the top, but now I cannot seem to match or determine what they used to finish the wood. Their directions for care suggested only mineral spirits and no wax. I tried using a lemon oil with mineral spirits, but it does not match the gloss or smooth finish of the rest of the rack. Any ideas?

Look for a transparent lacquer.
