You're not alone. I just moved and I'm shopless... but not for long. The studwalls are up.

There's a new virtual club dedicated to building or changing your shop. I've researched some topics thoroughly, and I will contribute weekly. Next week's topic is the cutoff area. Future topics include shop layout, work area layout, running electrical wiring, shop lighting, tool and material storage, mobile bases, dust collection, space management, finish area, etc..

Set up your new shop with some advice... and reap the rewards during each woodworking project. Even if you are done with your shop, you can share your ideas with those of us who have to do it all over again.

Visit and join "Woodworking Shops in Progress" at:

Dear Doc~

Now you've done it!! I scanned your NEW SHOP forum and now I want a new shop!!! You are a cruel, cruel man, Doc. But of course I will monitor your forum and continue to suffer because I can't have a new shop.

Kidding aside, I look forward to your new forum and will certainly gain some ideas from it. Thank you for sharing with us.

just IMHO................

Dr. Drew,
I'm continuously putting my shop together. I joined your Yahoo club today. But I'm not at home and cannot access my regular email.
I believe I have some good ideas for you and the other members at:
http://home.earthlink.net/~sonnypie/
I'll be in touch.
