If you have a local saw sharpening shop, they will typically also weld up bandsaw blades for you. If mail order is your only option, try www.suffolkmachinery.com. They sell the Timberwolf brand of bandsaw blade, reputed to be one of the best blades anywhere. They will weld you a blade of any size you need.

Highland Hardware http://www.highlandhardware.com sells a great super thin variable pitch re-saw blade called the Woodslicer and they will make it to your length specs for about $35. I love mine.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-17-01 AT 00:38AM (CDT)[p]Hey folks: I wonder if anybody can clarify something for me please. Is the PS Wood blade the same/identical to the Timberwolf blade I would get if I ordered from Suffolk Machinery? I see the PSWood "makers of Timberwolf"(on pkg.) offered in several places, but when people say Timberwolf they speak of Suffolk at 1/2 the price of that PSWood on website mentioned above and "Tools on Sale ect? What is the Relationship here Please??

Hi Antonio,
It's the same blade from what I have been told, Just a much better price. I think that PS Wood is more of a retail marketer for the Suffolk blade.

antonio,
I bought a Timberwolf BS blade directly from Suffolk recently. THe guy on the phone said that they sell their blade material to PS Wood and PS Wood welds different size blades and packages them under PS Wood name. Seems that Suffolk doesn't need to get into the hobbiest business, they have more than enough commericial business. If you call and speak to Suffolk people directly they are very helpful.
