Hi All,

So here's the story. I had some light spots on a cherry project I was working on since the sun darkened the cherry from the other boards I had laying on it. So I've been putting the project in the sun to darken the light spots and it's working great. My problem now is my fiancé decided to take the hose out and water the bushes. However in the process she watered the project! Now I have these noticeable water marks on the top of the cabinet. What have you guys found works best for removing them? I can see right where the water was including a ring around the outside of the water area.

Thanks!
Chad

A Nice Turquoise Paint? :)

Thats not nice! The only time I had any water stains on cherry was some skip planed boards and I just planed the stainsoff. They did not go very deep.

Rood Ruck some one will have a solution.

Is the wedding still on?

Since it's plywood I'm not lucky enough this time to plane it out. As far as the wedding goes I'll see what the outcome of these stains are. :)

Oh, heartache time! That sucks like a Kirby. :(

Try... hitting it with lime juice. If that don't do it, it's probably a done deal.

Don't SOAK it with lime juice, just moisten a rag with the stuff & kinda' wipe with it. Keep the surface of the wood just moist; if you get it wet, it may delaminate on ya & then it'll be over big-time.

Works for getting black iron stains out of oak, too.
