I'm still working on other projects and planning my corner wall unit, bookshelves. This room used to be the garage, so it has unlevel floors. Since the walls were finished years ago, I think building a platform to level the floor(shim)is the best way to go. Any input on this?
I've gotta tell you guys, you have really quashed my desire to tune up my radial arm saw. It's pretty clear that the router or table saw are better for dados and rabbets and I have the Dewalt 12" compound slider that's better for crosscutting boards and trim. Should I sell the rs and buy a dust collector or (name your tool here)?
If I use the router for stopped dados, I will have a rounded stop. I think I can round over a piece of oak to edge my shelf and match the stopped dado. Then I will have hardwood edged shelving, inset to accomodate a faceframe.
It's time to finish a new electric circuit while I wait for you people to help form my woodworking thoughts.
