http://wowjoke.com/gif/white/1332.gif Now I found that baby was hard to use,if I moved it this way the nose dug in and if I move it that way the heal dug in( nose & heal, Terminology ??, how about leading and trailing edges,whatever, you get the picture)When I did it right by accident of course the shavings would start but that wasn't very often.Here again it must be technique that must be acquired thru practice and intuiative feel.I found the gouges to be my friendliest tools,much more forgiving.
I was also impressed with those Sears HSS tools, they cut well and I farted around with that roughing gouge now for about 6 hours and it still is just like I started. The round nosed scraper now is on the back burner waiting for some direction of use.
Time to head for the salt mines.
