I am a woodworker with over 20 years of experience and had a horrendous experience with product support from Flexcut. Two of their knives fell out of the handles on first use. I returned two of their gouges and was told, "The damage was caused by poor carving technique," by a Mr. Dave Knittle of Flexcut. I was teaching a master class at the time with a soft piece of cherry. I called Mr. Knittle and tried to explain that it was bad business to treat customers in that way and he said it was, "bad carving," and hung up on me.
The problem here is that Flexcut makes their metal too brittle for narrow gouges and for some reason won't own up to it.
I heartily recommend any carver to avoid Flexcut if one expects them to stand behind their tools. Maybe they grew too fast and can't keep up.
Caveat emptor, as always.
