Well my Arkansas stones came yesterday so I played around sharpening a few chisels yesterday evening.
Today, when I finally got out to the shop, I got serious and started pulling plane irons. I don't look for specific types of Stanley planes, just that they are pre-1960s, and preferably pre WWII. Anyway, got to the #7 and when I was cleaning up the iron, I noticed a little heart on the top end. When I got that one, I didn't know what a "Sweetheart" era tool was, and only typed it far enough before I bid on it to know that it wasn't one of the newer ones. Guess that makes the $20.00 or so plus shipping that much better of a deal.
Well, anyway, all the hair on my left arm has now been shaved off from testing plane irons.
