Finally got some pictures of the fireplace, and a few others. The wood on the walls is 100 year old pine that was reclaimed from an old house that was then resawed. The 2 pictures of the tv stand and the toy chest were retaken with a better camera.

Nice! What kind of boards are those that you put on the walls? Are they toung and groove? How did you finish them?

That is one big rock over the firebox opening! I like it a lot, especially that paneling. Good Job.

Lariz, I think that it is a pine or hemlock. We salvaged it out of an old plank house. All the planks were 1.5-2" thick and we resawed them in half. I cut each edge at a 45 and overlapped them. There is no finish on the boards as well as no sanding/planing, went for a rough/rustic look.
Cody, I did an estimate on the weight of the rock and it roughly weighs 5-600#
