Nice cupboard, Rick. I love the look of Pine and the glass door panels really "make" the piece.
I made one very similar for my MIL except I used perforated tin panels and called it a pie safe.

Very nice. I like the glass, too. The back looks like that beadboard ply from the big box stores. A good idea. Really adds to the look.

yes, that it is beaded pine on the inside back face of the unit. i bought them at home depot, it's the narrow tongue in groove panels that come 6 to a pack - i think they measure 3 5/8" x 96".
the stain i used is minwax golden oak - right out of the can!

I've just finished a pine chimney cupboard display case. the original plans called for a solid wood door, but i changed that and put 3 glass panels in instead.
