That is a really great project. The finish you selected brings out the beauty of the Cherry. Congratulations on the new baby.

Awesome job.

The plans must have come from Wood magazine, because I'm about to begin making one from the same plans for the daughter of my wife's best friend. I built one several years ago from oak, but this time I'm going to try Lyptus.

I have been meaning to put this on for a while.
I got it done just in time! The LOML was whipping me pretty good to get it done. We had a healthy baby girl on August 25.

This is my 1st true project.
I got the plans from a magazine (can't remember which one)
It is constructed of cherry and finished with BLO and then shellac.
I ran into many obstacles along the way including getting my jointer properly set up and cutting the thin pieces on the table saw but thanks to many of you I was able to finally do a decent job.
If anybody has a specific question about the project I will be glad to answer.

Regards,

Greg
