WOW - I like that.

My mom had one just like that but shorter. It was such A nice table. I have thought often time about making one, but I have no need for one. Maybe someday I will find someone in need.

Great job.

!/4 sawn sycamore is very stable, and I had a bunch of it that was all ready a 1/4 inch thick. SO being the frugal person I am thats what I used. That and I dind't have any plywood.

They had a bunch of 1/4 sawn sycamore at the St. Louis Woodcraft the other day. A sales guy told me it was good for drawers but it had such a beautiful grain pattern in it I thought it might be good for other things too. I don't know much about sycamore though.

I would have to say it works about the same as cherry.
maybe a little tougher.
Even flat or rift sawn stuff doesn't seem to move to awful much.
Flat sawn the grain is kind of like a maple i guess.

Grows in lowlands near water. You can always pick them right out grayish white bark with green. kind of looks camoflauged

I don't know when I've seen a better set of legs! That's a really nice job. I do admire the leg symmetry in the side photo - looks difficult to repeat 3 times.

Hey I'm actually starting to make headway here.

This was a custom order. Best part is I don't have to finish it.
Based loosely on a set of plans from woodworkers journal.

13 inches wide, 36 long 28 high All cherry except for the drawer bottom which is 1/4 sawn sycamore.
