I'm getting my Freud SD506 6" dado set back Saturday from the sharpening shop and, was thinking of selling it. This will be the FIRST time it's been reshapened since I purchased it about 6 months ago. I just picked up the Freud SD508 8" dado set so, I won't need the 6" set any longer. 6 months and you already had to resharpen? I have used mine for at least a couple years and have mades thousands of foot cuts and the blades are stillrazors. Did you get a faulty set?

I ran some wet, green, sappy, knot infested and twisted (The lumber yet get from Home Depot) 2x6 pine though the set for some railings.(3/4" x 3" dado in about 150 feet of railing) I'm afraid the knots took their toll on the blade sharpness so, being the perfectionist I am, I had the set re-sharpened.

I WANTED the 8" set when I purchased the 6" set but, everyone was sold out of the 8" set at that time. So, at this point it makes no sense for me to keep BOTH sets....Does it??!!
