I just got five reindeer from two sheets of 1/2" Medex. I bought plans from WOOD PLANS. The tracing paper to make the patterns was tough to find. Here's what it took:
1. 100 miles and 2 cities to find the Medex and tracing paper
2. 1 sheet of hardboard for the patterns
3. Had to widen the 3/8" slots in the plan to 1/2"
4. 1 gallon each of primer and paint. My bath will use some of this.
5. cheap paint brushes
6. eye bolts and tent anchors to secure them to the ground.
7. It took a couple days in a cold garage using an old B&D jigsaw with $5 sticker from a garage sale.
8. Shined up the edges with my spindle sander.
9. cost about $100 in materials
10. They are drying right now in our computer room.
11. The wife loves them!!!
