OUCH! x( This is really begining to hurt...

I confess, I'm responsible for all the previous posts up to this point (original, posts 1, 2 and 3) but they just ain't workin' like they's supposed ta. Check the date... Dec /00 ??? NOT! Lost in cyberspace, I presume.

Once again, I couldn't resist the temptation of posting one more picture of the bookshelf I built earlier this summer. The picture quality isn't that great... Taken with a 35MM SRL camera (like the one we used in the good old days). The end result, well, I'm really much more handsome then the picture eludes to. Did I also mention that I was modest and humble as well? :+

Isn't is funny how you form a mental picture of someone, and then, when you get to see what they really look like, your brain comes to a screeching halt, because the two images don't match? :P

Ah, yes, the bookshelf, well... It's built in the traditional NY Norm style (with dado and glue, biscuits and brads, a few unseen screws, and a hidden penny, just because). It is made from 1 x 12 pine with pine trim, finished with oil and wax, and measures a little over 6' high by 4' wide. Realistically, is should have had a backing, and I would have done such in T&G pine. But, as it was, I was into it for almost $100 Cdn, and I was giving it away, so, I had to draw a line somewhere.

So there you have it. I just had to capitalize on the opportunity to put my smiling face in the limelight one more time. (And if it doesn't work this time, then all I have to say to the cyber gods is "Yes, I admit it. I couldn't resist the freakin' temptation to put my freakin' ugly face all over the freakin' internet. There are worse things in life you know"...)

I don't know how this happened because I am one of the computer illiterates but I saw all 3 of the pix without any problems. I like your dog(do you hunt?) and the bookshelf looks nice too. I like the detail on the top, simple but gives it something extra. If you have that view of those gorgeous trees out your windows I am very jealous. Those trees are so beautiful. I planted 2 4" diameter maples last fall in our front and side yard but it will be a while before they get very big(like after I'm dead!!)

Dick, I didn't have any problem seeing the pictures but for some reason, on this topic and this one only, everytime I post it goes out in triplicate. I noticed yours did too. I thought it was my 'puter but evidently NOT...
