I like the proportions..it looks as if you had a limited space and then designed the desk to fit...so often it's difficult to make the thing look good in the process but you managed that rather well.
Congratulations.
Maple is also a favorite of mine as well so I like it a whole lot.

Have at it Sonny. It's really just a small base cabinet/top/leg.

Wish the pictures showed the color contrast a little better. The birch ply has a nice reddish tint to it.

This is the Student desk I made last month for my 14 yo.

It's soft maple and birch ply.
