I am looking for a fence for this table saw. The one I am using that came with the table saw is bent. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement at. I have contacted Makita and they do not make this saw anymore and no longer have parts.

I am need of a fence, can you just purchase a fence for something like this? Any suggestions are welcome, this is a pain in the butt to work with. It takes forever to get it lined up.

While I am asking for help on this, how about table extensions as well.

Let me know what I can do. This is a very good saw and I use it alot

I don't know about Makita, But, I have bought parts for my fifteen year old Ryobi BT2000 through Sears parts store-on-line. The Ryobi saw has been altered from my saw about five times since.

Go to: www.sears.com
Go to "Parts"

You then type your model number and then go from there.

If that doesn't work, your best bet whould be a Google search.

The 2708 is the same saw as the 2710, but with a shorter blade opening for an 8" blade. I have a 2710 which I put into a PortaTable. The PortaTable has a MUCH better fence than the saw's own fence. The Makita's fence is useless and its miter bar nearly useless.
If I had it to do all over again, I would have got the Bosch 4000 saw.
The least money you can spend to improve your saw is to get a PortaTable which will improve the saw 200%
