That looks like it will work great...

.... and quieter too :)

It is quieter! :)

My hearing is pretty bad but all I can hear when I turn on the switch is the air sucking through the ROS.

I can't wait to get my DC shed built onto the back of my shop. :)

Cool stuff!

I've got a handheld Dirt Devil with hose attachment that plugs right into my ROS. I can walk around with the little vacuum slung over my shoulder (the hose is only about three feet long). Handy for large in-house jobs.

I use part of an upright Kenmore vacuum cleaner with my ROS and my scrollsaw. I've removed the whole lower half (beater bush) and just have the handle, bag compartment, rear wheels, and motor.
The hose fits on my PC333 without a problem and I have the flat wand attachment attached to my SS.
Very quiet and easy to move around. No filters to clean, throw the bag out and install another.

I saw this somewhere...maybe on another forum and thought that it was a great idea.

I've got a small Rigid vacuum that I use with my ROS, biscuit joiner and pocket hole jig. I've been keeping it underneath the table saw outfeed/assembly table but it's a pain to clean around it and keep the vac hose and electric cord sorted.

So, this afternoon I moved it to the shop attic. I cut a (rather jagged) hole in the ceiling next to the 6" table saw duct drop, placed the vacuum in the attic near it with the switch in the "on" position. I dropped the vacuum hose and the electric line down through the hole and hooked them up.

I use the switch on a plug strip for the on/off. It works great, too. With the ROS sitting on the table, the vac hose hangs about one foot off the floor. It will reach the entire table, too. Here's a couple pics of the set-up.
