It's difficult to fit MOST of the functions of a TS in a 300 page BOOK, let alone a forum such as this.

May I suggest a title?

"Table Saw Techniques" by Roger Cliffe is an excellent overview and is readily available on the web.

Take a look in your local library. I am pretty new to this as well, and I am there every time I am thinking about buying a new tool. They probably have books full of plans for small projects, too.

I agree that Table Saw Techniques is the best book for your question. I got my edition at the public libary, they don't call me cheap Tom for nothin.

I see RC has another book called TS: Workshop Bench Reference. Which is the better book? Should one get both? Maybe WBR is made more for working with in the shop, but the other is more detailed but better read in the den?

THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR RESPONSE TO MY QUEST FOR A GOOD BOOK WHICH WOULD DESCRIBE THE MANY FEATURES AND USES OF A TABLE SAW.
WHILE STARTING WITH THE INFO EACH OF YOU PROVIDED, I WENT ON LINE AND DRILLED THROUGH A HUNDRED SITES. TO MY T.S. QUEST, I ADDED "ROUTER." I HAVE PURCHASED THRU BOOKS-A-MILLION THE FOLLOWING WHICH ARE SPIRAL BOUND, TABED, WITH FAIRLY LARGE PRINT:

ROUTER BY ZACHARY TAYLOR ( WORKSHOP BENCH REFERENCE)

TABLE SAW BY ROGER W. CLIFFE (WORKSHOP BENCH REFERENCE)

THANKS AGAIN TO ALL FOR POINTING ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.
