Lathe

I too am looking at updating my lathe. I have a sears craftsman about 25 years old. A real good hobby lathe but not for the serious turner as the accuracy is questionable. I am also limited to what I can do on this lathe. What is a reasonable amount to invest for a lathe that will allow me to expand into bowls and vessels? What brands are reccomended that have little vibration for such turnings?

Hi:

Since you are familiar with sears, Have you looked into their newest one. I bought one and I love it. Sturdy, accurate, completely variable speed (DC motor, no belts)
I think it is worth taking a look at.
