powermatic 90-help!`

I just purchased a powermatic 90 (at least thats what I'm told) it looks to be 20+ years old. There are no tags identifying it other than the word "powermatic" It is set up as a 3 phase right now. I need to change out the motor to a single phase motor. I need to know the rotation direction and I am wondering if I should change h.p. from the 3/4 to a larger motor.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated

you don't need to change out the motor unless you really want to.
You can get a box from Granger that takes in 220 2 phase and puts out 220 three phase. For a 3/4 motor it will be a lot less expensive than a new top quality motor.
