My husband is really enjoying his woodworking hobby.
So far he has a table saw, drill press, radial arm saw
and a compound miter saw. What should I get him next?
What are your favorite/most used tools?
Thanks very much for any feedback and Merry Christmas!

I would recomend a Jointer. It is the tool that sets up all the other tools he already has.

How nice it is of you to try and find the perfect Christmas Gift for your husband.
I have a small work shop and have been making saw dust for about 9 years.
The one tool I use most (most people would not agree)is my router. I have made many boxes of all kinds, book ends, wall shelves, picture frames and a host of other small objects.
I would suggest you check out the Router Workshop at: www.routerworkshop.com
It may cost a little more than you want to spend but what joy it has brought to a lot of people.
Merry Chrismas and a Happy New Year to you.
I know this is a bit late, but if he has a aircompressor my suggestion would be a airpowered brad gun. I bought a porter-cable about a month ago for $79 and now do not know how I ever got along with out it.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!

Yes a jointer would be nice but so would a planer with a locking head and, since you are so deep in saw dust, then how about a dust collection system?
By the way, I think your husband is my long lost twin brother. It's amazing how twins tend to have the same interests. If you email I will give you my home address so you can mail my Christmas gifts (tools) to the right address.(grin)
Merry Christmas!
