This may be a stupid question ,but im looking for the name of machinery used in log furnitrue building .Also where this equpitment can be purchased.Mainly the machine used for taking the ends of logs down to smaller dimensions,and for the holes for them to go into,thanks.

The tool is called a log tennon cutter there are only a few small shops that make them and they are very expensive. Do an internet search on lodge pole furniture and you will find them. I took the pictures from the net and had a machinest make mine. these tennon cutters take a lot of horsepower to run dont buy the ones you do with a drill good luck!
