We are installing a tongue and groove pine wood ceiling in our home. We have stained the wood and now want a semi-gloos finish to the wood. We have heard that shellac will turn orange over time and are leary of yellowing of polyurethane. What should we use?
My experience is that Blond shellac does not yellow over time. I have used it for lots of projects and not had a problem. I would use that or natural danish oil. Danish oil is a combination of BLO or teak oil and varnish and thinner. It is brushed on let soak in then wiped down. It penitrates and protects.
Looking for plans for a dining room table that can collapse down to 4 place settings and expand out to 14 to 16 place settings. To further add design problems, leaves, etc should be self storing.
