RE: Whats the difference between...
Dan,
They are both the same, a tablesaw.
But in a down and dirty contest, a Unisaw can cut most tablesaws in half.
The con-verse does not work. Most tablesaws can't cut a Unisaw in half. They simple do not have the balls for it. :7

RE: Whats the difference between...
Sonny's explanation pretty much sums it up!...
I'll just add that "Unisaw" is a Delta model name... saying "Delta Unisaw" is like saying "Chevy Camaro" or "Ford Mustang" eh... :)

RE: Whats the difference between...
I believe Delta applied the "uni" moniker to their product a long time ago when the installed an electric motor to the unit (as opposed to running off of an overhead shaft or some such). There some web sites that give the history of the unisaw that is mildly interesting.
In practical terms unisaw is the name applied to delta's cabinet saw lineup. It is a pretty old design that has been cloned by quite a few and it appears delta themselves will soon be offering an Asian clone of their own product, imagine that!

...then bring the (P)UniSaw over to my place and I'll use my MiniMax to cut the (P)UniSaw into thousands of pieces using my 12" 5hp and beautiful slider! :)

Michale,
Come on down and send the Family to Magic Mountian (4 miles away) while I show Ya what a 5 HP Unisaw can do.
Then we can go to most any hardware store or auto parts store and find out what is avalable off the shelf for a Unisaw vs: what we can find to fit a MiniMax saw.
Not to mention American HP vs: Europian HP. Shall we start off with 4.8 HP, not 5 HP?
[link:www.scmgroup.com/ing/minimax/prodotti.htm | MiniMax]
Maybe their 20 years vs: Unisaws 70+ years of existance?
Or that the American dollars for a Unisaw goes into American pockets?
Michale, come on down. :7
(Bring some clothes you don't mind getting dusty. This is a working shop, not a show shop. ;) )

RE: Whats the difference between...
Sonny, Sonny, Sonny...
I went to the Delta site looking for a 12" Table Saw with a 4.8 HP 220 volt single phase motor and didn't find any. Was I looking in the wrong place?
Why, please tell why would I go to a hardware or auto store to look for machine specific parts. I can get metric stuff at any Kragen or high end hardware store around here. C'mon, Saugus ain't in the boondocks, you got high end suppliers around where you live.
Besides, would you rather drive a Camaro or a Ferrari.
