Low Angle Plane, Jack or Smooth

    Men,

The B-Day is coming up and the little lady asked me if I would be interested in a Lie-Nielson Plane. Of coarse without looking too excited, I answered with a smug, "That would be nice." I was looking at the website and have decided I would like to get a low angle Jack or smoother. Problem is I don't know which one I should get. I do use my Jack a lot more than my smoother (prolly becuase it is in better shape than my smoother). I'd like to use this for cleaning up panel glue ups and working full figured woods. Which would you prefer guys?

    Thanks,

    Chris

Since you already have a jack, I would personally go with the smoother. It's mighty nice!!!! Got mine for Christmas and have had a chance to use it some on some small stuff; playing mostly.
