Finish Nailer Advice
I'm shopping for an angled finish nailer. I need ya'lls help to pro / con between these three;
Dewalt D51275k
Bostitch n62fnk-2
Porter Cable DA250
I'm curious to hear what some owners of these tools think as to the performance of the tools. Money is an issue but I'd never save a few pennies to compromise quality & durabillity.
Thanx for the feedback!!

RE: Finish Nailer Advice
I have the Bostich and I have had no problems with it. Easy to load and fairly light weight.

I bought a well used Bostich nailer. It works wonderfully! just keep the thing oiled and maintained, and it will last a very long time!

RE: Finish Nailer Advice
The Porter-Cable DA250B has served me well. I have yet to experience my first jam with mine. The nails for the PC can be a little easier to find than the ones for the Bostitch. Don't know a thing about the DeWalt.

I'll throw in my 2 cents even though this was not on your option list. SENCO SENCO. Been using these for 25 years and never have had a problem. Along the line, most other brands have emulated Senco.
IMHO only.

Senco - - - - 1 vote
I appreciate the feedback. On the Senco question, I see alot of pros in the trades preferring them but the prices even on the used / ebay market are a bit more than the others.
??? $$$ Worth it $$$ ???

My "write in" doesn't seem to be garnering much support. Oh well, write ins never do... Not sure what the cost difference is, but I do know that anything that lasts, with very hard work, should be worth something.
As with any tool, there is usually a difference other than just price. Check them out closely. In today's world the reality is that there are a lot of good tools out there. Make sure that it "feels" good in your hand and that the ergonimics are good. This is an area where you will notice a difference.
Bottom line is that any way you go, you probably will have a good tool.

RE: Finish Nailer Advice
Ditto on the Senco (FP41XP - $225 on Amazon after rebate).
Borrowed one from a professional carpenter, loved it and bought one myself. Big plus: does not require lubrication!
OTOH, if you only use it once a year and you can find one of the other brands for significantly less, the difference may not be worth it to you.
Also, if you're in no big hurry, they sometimes throw in their stapler or 18ga brad nailer for free, which makes it a great deal if you don't already have those. Not sure though how often they run those specials, I got mine early Nov.
Good luck,
Frank

RE: Finish Nailer Advice
recon porter cables & recon bostitch are running around $140 + shipping & I think I'm pretty sold on the bostitch 3.8 lbs & oil free angled nailer
sencos used are still over $200 (even used no case!) and needless to say I haven't figured out a use for the nailer in the kitchen but a couple of these plate-carriers have given me ideas from time to time!!! So, I think the bostitch is the winner!
Thanx Ya'll
