Has anyone had good results with plug cutting bits? I played with a friends cheap set from Lowes and wasn't real impressed. They were supposed to be tapered bits but when I inserted the plugs into the holes they were not tight at all. In fact they were very loose. The idea of the bits seems great...make plugs out of scrap hardwood save a few bucks and have them blend in when stained and finished. I have also noticed that they seems to vary in price from stores and catalogs. Are the more expensive ones better or just more expensive?
