RE: which bandsaw
I purchased the Rikon 19" last year at Woodcraft when they had it on sale. I liked the cast iron wheels, large table and 2 HP motor.I originally bought it to cut bowl blanks, and it cut 11" oak quite easly ( with a Timberwolf blade) the blade it comes with is a joke. I have never used a Grizley. I have been very satisified with the Rikon. Recently I decided to try to cut veener, and it worked great and I had never tried that before. I noticed the Rikon was on sale again at Woodcraft this tear. I never owned a bandsaw before but I find I'm turning to it more and more. It does require a 240v 20A outlet.

RE: which bandsaw
The November 05 issue of Wood magazine has a review of 17" & 18" bandsaws. They chose the Rikon 10-340 as the "Top Tool".
Some of the high-point they noted were:
Best overall power and cutting speed (tied with the Grizzly G0514)
Largest table
Easiest blade changes
The only saw in the test with dual ball bearing blade guides
Heavy weight cast iron wheels
The Grizzly G0514 was a close second and the Grizzly G0513 was the "Top Value" saw
