If it's not wore out...yeah, seems like a good deal. I'd almost bet the farm that the rails, rail guide bearings or something is wore out. Looks like it didn't sit in the corner and collect dust like most RAS do.

Check it out well... but heckins, DeWalt's why we even HAVE radial arm saws.

It should be smooth on the draw. It shouldn't have any looseness anywhere in the carriage or the blade.

...but for a hundred bucks, you can overlook some rebuildable flaws.

$100 toward a decent miter-slider, for your tablesaw would be a better purchase, in my opinion. You can even build good ones for half that.

If the machine was still tight, it would probably be worth $100. I see tons of RAS ads on Craigslist here in the Twin Cities. They can hardly give the damn things away. If someone posts one for much over $100-$150, it's pretty much guaranteed that they will be reposting in a couple days with a lower price. The local tool consignment shops have lots of them, usually priced in the $200 range, and they collect dust there.

I'd buy one if they didn't take up so much space. I'm more inclined to get a slider instead.

    Cheers,

    Kevin
