When we had the remodel done, almost all of the ceiling can lights are on dimmers. Well, I've been looking for CFLs that can be used on dimmer circuits. The GE web page says to go to several different web pages.
I never found dimmable CFLs in any of the web pages. So I sent an e-mail to Lowes. In about 4 hours I get a message back saying that they carry the product. About an hour after I get the message I get a phone call from the HB Lowes saying where they are in the store. (That was Friday.) On Saturday I go to Lowes and purchase two bulbs to make sure that they fit the socket and actually work. They do and I'm off to purchase enough to finish the job.
I'm in the aisle getting more bulbs. I need six more than are on display. There is a carton that I can reach, so now I only need three more. There is another carton but I can't reach it from the floor. There isn't a ladder near by so I ask for help. (This is it where it gets wierd.) After a few minutes a Lowes guy walks up and before I can say anything, he says, "Are you Rich?" I must have given him one of those "LOOKS". He says that he was just talking to my wife and she said that I was here. He explained that yesterday was his day off and he wasn't sure if someone had called.
I'm stunned! I don't know what it is with this particular Lowes. They really believe in customer service. There have been times where they didn't have what I needed but I haven't left the store irritated. I can see what is going to happen... The Lowes store manager is going to be promoted for doing a good job. Then, who knows.
Meanwhile at the bar orange ranch, they're still doing the HD shuffle.
A company near us produces molding of all shapes and sizes. They have perhaps four people looking over plans and doing takeoffs, then bidding the molding for the jobs. Given that, it may be useful to...
