    DeWalt 734

I used a Dewalt 734 for the first time today, Im tickled pink on the way it performs. Bought some ruff sawn red oak for 1x4x10 for 3 dollars each. I used my Delta joiner to ruff it down to size then run it throuh the planer , the results were outstanding.

Are you using infeed and outfeed tables at all? I have the DW735 and it works pretty good but I can't get rid of the snipe. I didn't buy the infeed and outeed tables but I built my own 3 footers on each side but I still get snipe.

The 734 comes with the folding tables - they're about 11" long, i figure. With the head locked, I can manage ZERO visible snipe - even in a raking light.

Glad to see the replys , this is the first time ive used a planer , and after the results I want to kick myself in the a%% for not buying one sooner. Guess when I was at Codys shop and seen how it worked I got hooked.
