painting
i am painting some metal base cabinets for a utility bench and storage in my shop . there islittle rust wich i got with a whire brush on my drilland i sanded it and i took the grader to it ...so the rust is basically better, but the paint still wont stick every time i spray it on (rustoleum) it runs . i dont know why its blowing my mind
any suggestions?

Clean it with acitone. That should remove any contamination that is preventing the paint from sticking.

Theres also a product called Liquid Sander made by SCL, I think.
But it basically cleans and deglosses in wipe.
Also make sure your cabinets are not cold. Being cold tends to cause more running.
Be sure to prime.
If the residual rust itself seems to be the issue get some naval jelly or rust covertor at your favorite auto parts store. This will stabalize the rust.
