RE: Home vac to shop vac modification

I gotta say, Niki, you are proof positive of the old saying, "Where there's a will, there's a way." Another great way of making do with what you have.

Can't tell if those are what we call "Paper Towels" or a specialty product of some kind. Can't imagine any of our regular paper towels standing up to that use.

    Thank you Jerry

I was Googling and I found, it’s something like this, If you roll down to “product specification” – “cloth like towels…"

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...lance&n=172282

Very strong, you can wash them and re-use many times.

Thanks for that info, Niki. That should filter out a lot of the larger particles as well as some down to a fairly small size, limiting the bag in the vac itself to catching the rest, at least to the level that the bag is designed to catch.

Home vac to shop vac modification

    Good day

I would like to share with you, all those like me that cannot afford to buy DC, some modifications that I made to home vac to use it as shop vac.
    .
I use it for everything around the shop, machines, floors, shelves and even for car and house cleaning.

The home vac that I use is almost 2HP (1600W) with speed control, so I can regulate the power according to the tool in use (no need all this power for sander)

I don’t know what is the “filtering” power, but I believe that its good enough if it’s used for home.

    Regards
    niki
