My band saw is not cutting well. I don't use it a lot, so I am reluctant to blame the sharpness of the blade, although I will be buying a new one. My adjustments look right. I am not sure if my speed is set properly because the instructions are a little vague on that subject. The brand is Reliant and it is a 14" floor model.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I am starting a hobby horse project for Christmas and I want to cut 3 1/2 thicknesses of pine. The way the saw is performing, I won't have the horse until Easter.
Go through your manual and make sure that the saw is setup correctly. You said you think it is ok but check it first. Most of the time problems are blade related. You didn't say what kind of blade you are useing, or what size. Here is a good source for blades that have made my life easier.
