    Verneer removal

I have an old dresser that has a veneer top that is partially broken. I want to remove and replace it. I need info on removing the old.

    RE: Verneer removal

    Andy,
You might try gently heating the veneer with a clothes iron or heat gun to loosen the veneer if it is glued with hide glue. You can also inject alcohol in the joint between the substrate and veneer, this will crystalize the glue allowing for the veneer to be removed easily. Good luck
