RE: canoe plans
I believe Woodcraft has plans for sale. I do know there is a beautiful model hanging in the "home" Woodcraft store in Parkersburg, WV.
I also remember seeing an article on building one, within the past year either on the internet or in one of the WW magazines.

RE: canoe
The Family Handyman magazine ran a 3 part series on building a cedar strip canoe. Very detailed with lots of pictures. The issues I think were in 1994, so they aren't listed on their 5 yr. database on the website - you may need to send an email to Customer Service. I actually built the 16' canoe and have been more than delighted with it over the years. The thing to remember is to go slowly, but don't get crazy about the precise fit of each strip. Fiberglass will be sealing everything. Just follow the plans and all will go well! Have fun

RE: canoe
Try the Woodenboat Store 1-800-273-7447 or www.wooodenboat.com
They have all the books you'll ever need on the subject.
I have a book called Building a Strip Canoe by Gil Gilpatrick
Published by DeLorme Publishing in 1985. ISBN 0-89933-026-6.
If not available, Woodenboat has something similar.
I have built a couple canoe's over 10 years ago. Have fun!
Gary
