    RE: bench drill

Right now I think the Delta bench drill press is a pretty good deal at Lowes. Check there or Home Depot.

    Juan--
I agree with Marc. I've had good service from my small Delta 8", 1/4HP drilling hardwood. Have had no trouble using 1-1/8 Forstner bits for example. It's an induction motor. Toolcrib has the Delta 8" (Mod. 11-900) for $99.99, plus delivery charges. Wiley Horne

    RE: bench drill

Hi Juan-There are Many more features and much bigger capacity DPs available than ever before.
The Delta 8" is a very popular press but is the smallest made and HFT has 4 models that size from $32-$59 with at least those capacities. The new Harbor Freight Tools DPs from China are well worth a look before you Buy anything.I own 3 and they are nice.
There are 2 models that would give you alot for your dollar. Both are Bench Models-#44836-ocga is a 12 speed-(250-3100)10" swing,1/2hp-2-3/8" stroke.$99.99
    The #44835-ocga is twice the size for $129.99,with a 1hp motor ,16speed(220-3600) 3-1/4"stroke -15"swing,a 12"x12"table----
Both have built in lights-rack and pinion tables and the big one is 143lbs!
PS they are both Black and Silver --No Green
E-mail if I can help ---antonio-
