It's hard!!!!!!
I cut a 2" section of the yellow wood off to take to the retreat with me for ID. I said, "I wonder" and took it over to a 6" belt sander with #60 grit paper and held it down as hard as I could and it left burn marks on the green yellow wood ...you figure?????
It appears a little more dense to me ,more than I thought, so it might just be Bois d'arc...I sure don't know, the mystery continues ,, hah hah hah hah,,,,,,, the shadow knows!!!!!!!!
