I think there was a good article in Wood magizine about a year ago with plans to build cupolas. Not sure if they have an index on here anywhere though. Hmmmmmmm, but thats a thought. They should put one on this site. :)

I just purchased a Hitachi 10" compound miter saw (C10FCE2) and it has an aluminum base. What is the best way to care for this aluminum base? Butchers Wax? WD-40 now and then?

Hi,It has to be solid wood if it has to last 15yrs or so even marine ply will delaminate long before that time and venture useless,as for wood type ceder for an outside project is always a v.good...
I would recommend using a marine quality plywood a little more expensive but a much higher quality than ordinary plywood,as for the mouldings more often than not if it has to match with existing...
We at our furniture school would always recommend a 18V cordless drill and purchase the best quality possible - Dewalt Makita etc...
