DANG, I can't imagine what you'll do with your lathe! That's a really good looking bowl.

RE: Shaken, Not Stirred
so what do you need a lathe for??????????
why dont you just forward that lathe off to someone less talented, eh? i think thats kinda mean to hog up all of the talent AND the machinery }>
;)
i cant do that WITH my lathe. dang it! and i am not just saying that... maybe it is me that should give up the lathe to those who are mroe talented, eh? }>

You're in the groove somethin' wicked, Cody! You'll love it when that wood starts spinning right before your eyes. Takes a mindset shift, though, 'cause what you do to one little part of one side suddenly happens to all the other sides alla' way 'round... :) :) :)
THAT is a great looking bowl for a turner that has his lathe ON ORDER still.
I'm really amazed at you, Cody. Ya know, you're gonna be spoilt by the time that lathe arrives. :7

Great job, like John said what do you need a lathe for.
I can see you are going to be quite a creative turner but I think thats all important too.

And I thought I had this turnin thing real bad. Cody, you're in need of a twelve step plan for this turnin and you ain't even got anything spinnin yet. You got it BAD!
Nice job, just think what you'll be doin when you can actually spin somethin.

RE: Shaken, Not Stirred
Thanks for all the kind comments, guys.
I imagine it will be a while before I can turn a bowl as good as that one.
But, I am chompin'-at-the-bit to get started. It's gonna be a long 2 weeks at work waiting to start training on the lathe.
