i have almost the same exact set up - have considered selling but i cannot - the cost fo the 1236 has gone down so much i cannot get out what i *think* i *should* get. the $300 is reasonable for the seller - but probably not for you. you can buya brand new 1236 for $400 get a warranty and brand new machine. and the griz chcuk is only $40 item. typically if i buy used i want to pay arpund 50%, maybe up to 60%. any higher it is either family or friends :)

I think I would buy a new one unless I could get a used one for about $150 or so... maybe a little more if it was immaculate and had very little use... but not $300 for a 5 year old machine...
Sure now that I spend $350 on a new Jet.. you tell me you have one in NJ for $200... and I travel to NY to visit family on a regular basis... you guys just want me to fall so far into the vortex chasing my wallet as I can get... don't you... :) :) :)

Recently sold Jeff my 1236 for $200 it was about only 14 months old. Also included a 3" Oneway faceplate, pen mandrel and my sanding disk. I'd really think about one that old for $300!
