RE: Dario
Tom,
Thanks for sharing. I would have given the blanks to you FREE just to see what the wood can become. I know I cannot produce as nice a pen as you do ;).
I will be milling more mesquite next week and you will get some of the pick of the litter :D.
Nice pic. That is such a shallow depth of field you got on that pic...are you taking your pics on marcro or manual mode maybe?
Dario :)

RE: Dario
Robster, that is a rollerball kit.. the top comes off and posts on the threaded bottom... rollerball and fountain pens need a top so that the ink does not dry out...
Dario, that was taken in aperture priority mode with my Minolta Dimage camera... After years of just using my Nikon system, I am finally getting serious with my digital for my pen work... this particular camera we bought 2 yrs ago because it had great manual controls, but until lately I usually ignored them.. now I am really playing with them.. Unfortunately, the macro mode does not allow me to get the full pen in the picture....

RE: Dario
Tom,
Thanks for the photo tip. I should play with my camera more too. With all the bells and whistles it have, 99.9% of the time I just use the full auto mode.
Mine is the older Panasonic Lumix 4.1 MP with Leica lens. Great camera but getting dated a bit ;).
BTW, I responded to your e-mail already.
Dario :)
