    Pens again...

I took the time today to combine the way I finish pens with CA and incorporated the Beall buffing..

There is no wax on any of these pens... CA only, applied with the BLO method, and polished with the Beall...

I can honestly say I have never made any pens that were this smooth and shiny... I am happy!! http://www.woodhelp.com/Cheesy%20Smiley.gif

I also set up the photo booth, although I have to play with the lighting... as usual :)

Nice resins! (those are PR, yes?)

Ain't pens fun? Just quick and easy to toss on and be done in no time. I love having a day to just keep spinning pens :D

BTW - the HF lathe tool set has been serving me well. Thanks for assuring me of their value :)

Good looking pens. Especially like the bottom acrylic one.

    Nice Marc!

You sure are prolific! What do you do with all of them? do you sell them?

    Nice pens!

    Very nice pens Marc.

I too like the material of the last one a lot.

How many times do I have to tell you...try the higher end kits, you won't be sorry ;)

Yup... those are next... waited to see how the regular buffs work... but they work so well it is a no-brainer as far as I am concerned... hmm... does that mean I aint got a brain??... I dunno... too tough to figger that out :)

.... all I know is, I have discovered a whole new definition of "smooth and shiny" with that buffing...

I have a couple of galleries I am checking out... now that I live in an area that actually has galleries!

One of the FEW nice things about being only 30 miles from Atlanta :)

    I listened... really!!

I have 3 Perfect Fit pen kits out in the shop right now... but wanted to "get back in the swing of things" before attempting those..

I totally hammered a piece of acrylic... blew apart when I used a scraper to turn it...

I thought I remembered that the scraper was the way to go... but switched over to a gouge and followed with the skew... seemed to work like a champ... although kinda slow...

I still use some of those... work just fine; especially for the price!
