RE: Spalted Sycamore pen/pencil set
Another great set Doug. Im fond of the black pen hardware and it goes good with the lighter colered wood.

RE: Spalted Sycamore pen/pencil set
Nice, i like spalted wood. We cut a White Birch that was close to our house a few years ago and stacked the fire place logs out back and wouldn`t you know, yep it started to spalt. Put some in my shed to dry. I then cut some up into pen blanks and turning squares.

RE: Spalted Sycamore pen/pencil set
Thanks Boodrow and Carl. I do like the black chrome kit with lighter wood, especially when it has some black in it too like the spalted Sycamore does.
I really like spalted woods too Carl - it is always a bonus when you find some in the wood pile ;)

Spalted Sycamore pen/pencil set
This is the third pen and pencil set I have managed to get out of a single branch of Sycamore that a co-worker brought me a while back. It was very spalted, and this set was very pithy, so I knew it would take a little extra effort to make and sure enough it did :)
I needed a pen/pencil set for a customer who likes lighter colored slimlines, so this one is what I am hoping will fit the bill.
