I only bought 2 Gatsby kits and this is the last one. I don't think I'll get any more because I am not crazy about the way the twist mechanism is incorporated into this kit.

I like the look of the kit, but like the WSII, Classica, and the Sierra, it uses a very large tube (27/64") and requires a very very thin layer of material to be turned over that big barrel...just asking for a split to happen. I have to be very concerned about what material I use for the barrel when making this pen kit. No brittle woods or anything that might not take to being turned very thin. That eliminates some of my favorite materials, so I am still searching for a single barrel pen kit that I like. I think I will try a Sierra Vista next.
