    I can't wait to see wht does show up here . . . though when it comes to carving I don't know my scorps from my scrapers . . . . I hope to learn something here!

    Me too. I've been wanting to do something with one of those carved shells in it.

    Now we need to convince some of us turners to do a little carving on our turnings. Then we can post before and after pics. Before Pics in Woodturning, and after-pics in woodcarving.

    Glad to see this forum started!

    I have been considering some carving projects.
    The first one, if possible, is going to be a
    cane (walking stick) top. Of course, I am going
    to make the stick part of the stick too. Then
    I am going to stick the top on.

    Maybe some of the more experienced carvers can
    offer me some suggestions. . .

    Whaddya mean...nothing to report! My woodness this is awesome!

    Sounds like there are alot of carving newbies out there. Cool, we can all learn together.

    Payday is in a couple of days...watch out Lee Valley!
