Just an updated:

I've got 8 episodes on tape. Another 3-4 and I think the tape will be full. The copy may be of questionable quality, I think our VCR is about to bite the dust - it seems like it occasionally does funny things with tapes.

Good idea, but are you concerned about the copywrite aspects? Would it be a good idea to ask the Woodwright Shop if they want their material distributed this way?

If the program was distributed on more PBS stations, people wouldn't have to resort to borrowing somebody's personal tape to view the show.

I did in fact send an email to them way back when. I was quite specific in that someone could VHS tape it and send it to me.

They had NO response. I beleive that whatever is broadcast over public airwaves becomes public, period. If NC public television had a real problem with it they would have responded to me about it. I asked more than once about it.

I'm very new on this forum, but would be intrested. To "pay" my way, I would be happy to move to .mpeg and share off a public server (provide copywright problems are resolved, or all are OK with "shareing").

P.S. Network Engineer by trade, wish hack woodworking would pay better.
