Horrible box but great wood. Just kidding. Excellent stuff though, the quilting looks three dimensional and a good finishing job too boot.

What kind of finish did you use on that box? I am building a phone table with curly maple and want to make sure the grain pops just like on your box. Any info would be appreciated!

Believe it or not just plain old spray on Deft Laquer from the can. 'bout 3 coats.

I gotta say the other fella got the best of you on that deal. Beautiful box like that for a ratty old tablesaw.
Bet there was just a wee bit more to that finish than a few coats of lacquer, like maybe some intensive rubbing with itty bitty abrasives.
Very nice,and a great choice of woods.
